We're home!

We're home for the first time as a family! More pictures to come, but here's one of John.

A BIG Yawn

Baby John continues to do really well. Here is a really big yawn while sleeping in Daddy's lap.

Baby John is doing well! He (and his parents) made it through the first night. Our precious little baby is sleepy now.

John William is here!

John William Welstead has arrived!! He was born at 4:01 AM on Monday, June 7th. He was 20 1/2 inches long and weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces. Emmalie and John are both healthy and doing well.

Deadline has been set!

Emmalie had her 39 week appointment on Tuesday, and John is still not here! We talked with her doctor, and Emmalie is scheduled to be induced on Tuesday, June 8th if John doesn't com before then. That means in 1 week or less . . . we'll be parents!

Date Night

We had a fun evening out on Friday that included dinner at Green Room Grille. Emmalie's doctor says John is likely to arrive Memorial Day weekend through next week. Could this have been our last date night before we are parents?

37 Weeks and Counting!

THE NURSERY!

Emmalie is 37 weeks on Sunday so John is almost here.
That means it's time for some nursery photos!

34 Weeks and Counting . . .

We have finished our final child birth class as well as our infant CPR class. Emmalie is now 34 weeks and many of you have asked for some pictures so here is one from this past Sunday.

Another Precious Vintage Shower for John

A group of my sweet friends and sister hosted a darling "country fair" themed shower for me and John. From the table and centerpiece, fair food with adorable signs, popcorn machine, decorated cookies, lemonade in mason jars, Cracker Jack boxes and cotton candy as favors - the attention to the details was amazing!
