Tuggle's Visit from Georgia

Emmalie's sister Amy Tuggle and her husband Matt arrived from Georgia on Dec. 29 just in time for Matt to go to the Baylor bowl game with Emmalie, Matt W. and Emmalie's dad Gary.

Amy decided to stay in Waco and watch the little man rather than go to the bowl game . . . Wise choice.
Aunt Amy even gave John a bath too! John seemed a little confused at first . . .
But he was happy and having fun by the end!
Uncle Tugg got to spend some time with the Little Man this week as well.
Uncle Tugg gave John his first Lego set.

It seems like Uncle Tugg had as much fun with them as John did!

Christmas Videos

As you can probably tell, John wasn't exactly lacking for attention on Christmas Day! In case you needed proof, this picture should suffice as evidence.

Here is a video of John saying his version of "Hi" to Matt's sister Melissa.

John getting real excited playing with Matt's mom.

John loves his stuffed giraffe!

Santa John on Christmas Day

John had his own Santa costume for Christmas morning, and he was definitely in the Christmas spirit. Here he is on his way to his first Christmas stop at Emmalie's parents house.
First, he watched as everyone else opened their presents.

Then, it was his turn!

John and Santa Claus

John was lucky enough to see Santa again on Christmas Eve at Emmalie's Uncle's house. He was quite curious at first but then took time to wave at everyone taking pictures.

John's First Christmas

John's first Christmas was a rousing success. He received more toys to play with than we know what to do with! He also really enjoyed seeing relatives and friends at all the Christmas celebrations especially since they gave him so much love and attention. We'll post more pictures soon, but here is a neat one that Emmalie's cousin Christopher took of John reaching for the lights on the Christmas tree.

Our Little Night Owl

John has an amazing ability to bounce back full of energy late at night. The other evening we got back late from a Sunday School Christmas party, and John fell asleep on the way home. While I was changing his diaper and getting him ready for bed a dark room, he just came to life! I finally turned on the lights and just videoed him. You would think it was the middle of the afternoon!

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

John is really enjoying his first Christmas. He went to Tyler with Matt and his family on Saturday and opened his own Christmas present. Of course, the tissue paper was equally exciting as the present.

All that opening presents and playing wore him out though . . .

On Sunday, John went to his first church candlelight Christmas service. Even though he spent it in the children's building, that didn't stop us from putting on a holiday outfit and taking some pictures!

First Trip to See Santa

As we mentioned before, John had his first trip to visit Santa at the Waco Junior League Gift Market. We scanned the picture so we have a digital copy now. He certainly isn't scared!

6 Month Appointment & Christmas Spirit

John had his 6 month appointment this afternoon, and he had a good time hanging out with the doctor until we got to the shots part. He continues to grow and grow! His length is 26.75", and he now weighs 19 pounds and 11 ounces. We can't believe he's almost to 20 pounds!

John's also been getting in the Christmas spirit. Below are some pictures of John in some holiday attire.

Baylor Basketball & Christmas Tree Lighting

On Thursday, we all went to the Baylor vs. Arizona State Men's Basketball game. It was John's second basketball game, and he had a good time once again. This time he hung out with Landon Willis for a little bit which John thought was really cool. Landon was a little less interested.

After the game, we went to the Baylor Christmas Tree Lighting where John got his picture with Judge Starr the Baylor President before heading over the to Christmas tree for some more pictures. The event was really neat with the Student Center decorated inside, an outdoor ice skating rink, a concert, carriage rides and more.
