John's First Baylor Football Game

John attended his first Baylor football game on Saturday evening. The Bears won so Daddy doesn't look like a liar when he told him that BU was the best team in the world.

John started his day off by getting in his BU attire bright and early for a walk with Mommy.
Later in the morning, John visited GiCi's house (Matt's mom) where he decided he better rest up for the game.

John did great at the game! He slept most of the first half once he settled in. We went to visit Matt's parents at halftime, and John started looking around at the crowd in the second half. He was even trying to talk and make sounds when the crowd got loud and excited. We decided he was telling us that he's ready for a bowl game!

John has been getting ready for Baylor football season. I'm not sure that he's quite as excited as his Daddy is!

Emmalie's cousin Christopher was in town from Richmond, Virginia this week. He is a great photographer so he took some pictures of John while he was visiting. He are a few pictures of John in his cute bear hat.

2 Month Shots . . . Ouch!

John went for his 2 month checkup this morning. He continues to do great and be very healthy! He is now 24 inches long and 13.6 pounds. Both are right at the 75th percentile. He also got his 2 month vaccinations which consisted of one oral dose and 5 shots. John was a trooper and did great!

For a while after wards, he was like, "Shots . . . what shots? Let's play!"

Later on today the mood changed . . . "I want my mommy!" :(

Morning Walks & Napping Buddies

John likes to go on morning walks with Mommy and Ellie. Today he even broke out his walking hat. Doesn't he look like he's ready to go!

Ellie has been wonderful with John and has exceeded any expectation we had. She is so protective of him when other people are holding him. She is also quick to let us know that he is crying and that we need to do something. Here she is taking a nap with John on the couch.

2 Months Old!

John turned two months old on Saturday . . . WOW how time flies! He continues to grow, interact more and especially smile more. Here are a couple of pictures from the last few days.

Snuggle Time with Mommy in the Den

John had some fun snuggle time in the den with Mommy on Saturday. It's a good thing he likes it because we really like it!

John's First Trip to Dallas

John made his first trip to Dallas on Monday with Emmalie and her mom. He did great and was a real trooper all day while hanging with the girls. As you can see from the first picture, he was chomping at the bit to get going!
The trip also involved more efforts in his car seat to reach the unreachable dangling toy.

John did manage to successfully grab his keys and hang on. His stare and clenched fist seem to be telling everyone not to dare try to take his keys!

1st Day at Church

John made his first trip to church this past Sunday. He put on his "Sunday Best" for the occasion and was bright-eyed and ready to go!

Mommy was excited to show off her little man.

After all the excitement, John decided it was time for a Sunday nap.
