1st Day at Church

John made his first trip to church this past Sunday. He put on his "Sunday Best" for the occasion and was bright-eyed and ready to go!

Mommy was excited to show off her little man.

After all the excitement, John decided it was time for a Sunday nap.

Playing on His Mat & In His Bouncer

John has continued to get more and more alert. He now likes to stare down things as you can see from these two photos of him in his bouncer.

John also loves playing on his farm animals mat! His favorite is the cow because of the mirror on one side and the black and white colors. Here are a couple of videos from him playing.

Visiting Daddy at Work

Emmalie and John came to visit Daddy at work today. Everyone at the office really enjoyed getting to see him. As you can see, John knew to wear his tie to work!

Day with Daddy

With Mommy at the store with a guest instructor in from out of town, John spent the day with Daddy.

Big Daddy joined us for lunch.

Then, John took an afternoon nap at Starbucks while Daddy read.

Working Man

Daddy had to run back up to the office for a little bit to work so he brought Baby John along for his first late night work experience. He wasn’t overly thrilled about the working hours at first. Then, Daddy reminded him the boss wasn’t here so he slacked off a little bit!

Sleeping During Movie Time

John hasn't quite gotten the hang of movie time at home.

1 Month Birthday!

John turned 1 month old on Wednesday! We obviously were excited and didn't miss the opportunity to take a photo.

You can see from this second photo that John was not as excited as we were!

Continuing to Grow and First Smile

John William continues to grow and grow. It's been two weeks since his last appointment, and he now weighs 10 pounds and 7 ounces. That is a gain of another 20 ounces in 14 days. He has also grown another inch to 22 inches in length.

John is definitely interacting more with his surroundings as well. In fact, he had his first smile on Saturday, July 3rd, and he has smiled a few times since then as well! Of course, our attempts to catch a smile on camera have been futile! So, here are some pictures of him . . . not smiling of course.
