Road Trip to Georgia

Emmalie, Granmary and John are on their way to visit Aunt Amy this week. We hooked up a DVD player to face backwards so that John could watch them on the way. He is hooked on Praise Baby DVDs! You can see he is very serious and focused.

Standing Up Is a Breeze

Within a week now, John is now so sure he can stand up that it is basically a non-event. He just pops up.

John began standing up within the last week or so. We're not sure whether to be excited or scared because that means walking is around the corner! He has been getting close, but now he stands up consistently especially in his crib or pack-and-play. GiCi managed to catch him in the act this week so here are some videos of John. He's growing up so fast!

Active Little Man

John is getting more and more active every day! He has begun trying to stand up lately and has stood up a couple of times while leaning against our leg or something else for balance but can't quite do it on his own. Here are a couple of videos of him being active.

We have begun to notice that John really likes music. He will start moving around when he sees a commercial with music or a concert on TV. He also loves watching DVD videos with music so Matt decided John would like watching a Dave Matthews concert with him. Sure enough, John watched the concert for almost 45 minutes before falling asleep in his lap.

First Valentine's Day

Emmalie had her friend Shelly Negrete who is a photographer come up to Crop-Paper-Scissors on Saturday to take pictures for families for Valentine's Day. We of course didn't miss the opportunity get a few pictures of John. We even spiked his hair for the occasion!

Crib Video Monitor

Now that John is moving around so much, he has begun to periodically play with the video camera over his crib. It is the funniest thing to see him crawling up to it because it looks like he knows we're watching him!

SNOW!

John had his first experience with some snow today so you know we had to take some pictures. We both laughed when saw him in his bear coat. It reminded us of the movie Christmas Story where Ralphie's brother was all bundled up on the way to school or when Ralphie had to wear the bunny suit.
